Mrs. Hazel Avant Camp, 88, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 4pm at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Camp was born in Georgetown county on January 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Tunnie Avant and Lilly Cribb Avant.
Surviving are: her daughter, Carol Cooper Cox (Bobby); two sons, Billy Joye of Andrews; five grandchildren, Brian Cooper, Angel Vause, Randell Cooper (Caroline), Kevin Cooper (Claire) all of Georgetown, and Billy Ray Joye of Andrews ; ten great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Camp was a devoted member of the Nazarene Church in Camden, South Carolina but more recently Calvary Free-Will Baptist Church in Georgetown. She was a long time volunteer at Kershaw County Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ray Camp, and a great grandson, Joel Vause.
