GEORGETOWN Ronald David “Ronnie” Mercer, 73, died Monday, February 16, 2015 at Prince George Healthcare Center. Mr. Mercer was a son of the late Walter H. Mercer and Margaret Evelyn Wiggins Mercer. A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2pm at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, at Graham Funeral Home, 2200 South Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC. Mr. Mercer was an electrician, inventor, tinkerer, and repairman. He loved gardening, building model airplanes, animals, football, and Nascar. Mr. Mercer was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. Surviving are three brothers, Mark Mercer (Amber) and Walter Larry Mercer, both of Georgetown, and Glenn Mercer (Kathy) of Illinois; one sister, Julie Sanderson (James) of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister in law, Joann Porter Mercer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Great Babies Rescue at 2586 South County Road 225 West, Orleans, Indiana 47452.
