John David Jordan, 77, widower of Gwendolyn Stone Jordan, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on September 24, 1936, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Alec Jordan and the late Margaret Miller Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a member of Georgetown First Assembly of God and was involved in the Men’s Fellowship, Adult Sunday School Class and the Prayer Group. He enjoyed fishing and was well known for selling shrimp in Scranton. Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Howell (L.B.) of St. Augustine, FL, Dianna "Penny" Allen (Billy) of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Necole Neal (Hamilton) of St. Augustine, FL, Brett Howell (Joni) of Jacksonville, FL and Angela Morris (John Michael) of Georgetown; four great grandchildren, Eleanore Neal, Parker Neal, Ethan Morris and Addison Morris; two sisters, Nancy Wright (Wilmont) of Andrews and Laney Jordan of GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Jordan and Jimmy Jordan; and one sister, Clara Hamlin. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Georgetown First Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Georgetown First Assembly of God. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N.
